FEATURES & APPLICATIONS
XYlink HER is an aromatic diol chain extender with symmetrical molecular structure. Its structure regularity is less than its isomer HQEE because of two hydroxyethyl groups located on the benzene ring of 1,3-site (meta-). The melting point of HER is lower than HQEE, and the crystallization speed is slower than HQEE and MOCA. The pot-life of HER cured PU system is longer than that of butanediol system. The workability of XYlink HER is good.
XYlink HER is recommended applied with MDI-prepolymer to produce casting, thermoplastic and millable polyurethane elastomer products. HER-based polyurethane elastomer has good properties such as strength, tear strength, heat resistance, compression set, hardness and resilience than aliphatic diol chain-extended PUs.
XYlink HER chain-extended polyurethane elastomer can be widely used in various applications include rolls, wheels, seals, wear-resisting linings, skateboard wheels, shoe components, Spandex, etc. HER can also be used in polyurethane adhesives, coatings, and polyester synthesis, etc.
PACKAGING
20kg net weight in carton with polyethylene liner. (2kg vacuumed packages inside each 20 kg carton.)
STORAGE
XYlink HER is sensitive to moisture, so it should be kept in tightly closed container and stored in a dry ventilated place. Put desiccant inside the package. Make sure the remanent products well sealed after using.
The shelf time is 24 months. If stored over shelf life, it can still be used when the main application properties be qualified by inspecting.
